
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player plays as a striker in the San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9] Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. In the team, she made her professional debut and helped the team win the league championship. Morgan 22, then 22 years aged, was the smallest national player at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 in which she finished second. At the 2012 London Olympics Morgan scored the game-winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final game against Canada. She ended 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. It made her the sixth-youngest U.S. player ever to hit 20 goals in a season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was an FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan played a key role in helping the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019. She was named on both the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
