Lee Bass also serves as the band's long-term drummer and also co-founded Methods of Mayhem, an the rap group. Lee has also been involved in solo musical projects. Lee is a staunch supporter of animal rights and PETA. Lee has written Terry Prather in protest of Tilikum's treatment in 2010. Lee believed that the animal should be set free and claimed that SeaWorld could not be a good neighbor, as Tilikum is their main donor of sperm. Lee stated that he was shocked by SeaWorld's insanity and devious methods of obtaining Tilikum Sperm. Lee declared that he would be able to avoid the tragedies of trainers dying, since these tragedies were the result of whales' fear of being held in captivity.
