Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American actress and singer. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen's talent for entertainment was recognized at an early age. In 1992, she was awarded her first part in an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell was accepted by her mother to become an agent when she was only 13 years old. Then, she was cast for newspaper ads and commercials for TV. Also, Bell began taking classes in acting privately. Bell had a role that was not credited on Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell took part in the Drama and Music Club in Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production at her highschool won Bell the role of the lead Dorothy character. After graduating, Bell made the move in New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in which she learned about musical theatre. in 2001 Bell quit her university in order to play the role of Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. But, her scene was cut from the film and she only appears on the screen credits. Bell was seen together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
