Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was a child prodigy. The traits she displayed were normal to a person born in Ireland. by talented parents and a loving family. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons completed this lovely family. Maureen was a fan of rough sports as an infant and was extremely adept at them. Her natural interest and her talent in performing was astonishing. She was awarded nearly every Feis Award for Drama and Theatre Performance the country could provide. At the age of 14, she joined at the Abbey Theater to follow her aspirations and pursue studies in classical theatre and operatic vocals.
