Antonia Lofaso's cooking can be a way to investigate the possibilities within her. Her curiosity grew as she moved from the Long Island suburbs to explore the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas mingling on the same menu is what she believes in. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso created in 2013 was well-received due to the fact that it was influenced by her Italian heritage. Lofaso is lauded for her unique interpretation of Italian cuisine. The food at Lofaso is always authentic, inviting and undeniably satisfying. Lofaso was a student of legendary chefs and absorbed their sophisticate techniques but she was not afraid to take extraordinary risks in order to follow her intuition. She quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went further to collaborate with famous chefs in a variety of Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso worked together with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar Black Market Liquor Bar, the first bar to open in Studio City. The home of Lofaso was located in Black Market Liquor Bar and her business relationships. The partnership would allow for the creative freedom Lofaso desired. Black Market is not constrained by a single direction, and that's the goal. The first course could be Dill chips and then Shishitos peppers. Next comes an Korean wing and finally the meatballs course. Antonia's vibrant flavors are the base of these bold combination. Lofaso assessed her success in the field by her capacity to understand and remain real to her viewers. Alongside her unforgettable appearances in Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her individuality was also recognized out of the kitchen. Today she remains a standout on screen as an CNBC judge and recurring role on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso joined forces in partnership with Penguin at the end of 2012 in order to publish The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 recipes to prepare Delicious Home-cooked Meals. This book also contains her personal story of the challenges she encountered while going to her first French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea.
